I have always been addicted to a good story and love to tell it, be it through a painting, or a dramatic retelling. I really want to know all about you, and the twists and turns of your story. I want to hear the stories that make you laugh out loud and the ones that bring a tear to your eye. But, before you tell me about you, here is a little of my own story…

Hi, I’m Emma Louise Morton
I grew up in Coventry and ‘dramatic’, ‘creative’ and ‘ambitious’ were the words usually used to describe me. I left Coventry for the bright lights of London where I had ambitions to train and work in theatre as a designer. I loved being immersed in the theatre world but years later I found I loved to talk about and teach design more than make it, so I became an art teacher. My job as a secondary school art teacher took me to Tanzania where I spent 8 wonderful years basking in the African sun, going on safari, horse riding daily and surrounding myself with an international community from all over the world. However you can take the girl out of England but you can’t take the English out of the girl and my suitcase would always be stuffed to the brim with Yorkshire teabags. During Covid I made the move back to the UK bringing with me my rescue dog Rugby who came into my life when she was only 3 weeks old and together we began a new chapter in Oxford. Two weeks after my move to Oxford I met my partner who promised to show me the sites and he was such a good tour guide I decided to keep him around. Rugby and I now live in a ‘mad house’ in a little village in Oxfordshire, with my partner, his son and his bearded dragon named Moana. Last year we welcomed our gorgeous little girl into the world and we couldn’t be happier. My days are filled with forest walks, trips to the park, making art, performing in amateur dramatics and of course drinking Yorkshire tea.
